El Hierro is a beach frequented mainly by experienced local surfers, thanks to a wave that forms in the area and can reach large dimensions.
It is also a piece of coastline with a very peculiar landscape, especially because it is made of rhodoliths, small pieces of rock covered by algae that form on the ocean floor and are deposited on the coast by the movement of the tides.
If you visit this spot, remember not to take any rhodoliths with you, as they are the main component of the beaches in the area.
