International events

International championships are held on the island throughout the year.

These include the World Windsurfing and Kiteboarding Championship in Jandía in July, the Fuerteventura Wave Classic in La Oliva in February, the International Deep Sea Fishing Open in Gran Tarajal and the Fuerteventura Kayak Tour in August, among others. In addition, two swims are organised, one from Lanzarote and the other from the island of Lobos to Corralejo.
