17. Porbeagle Cove
NATURAL BEACH
GOLDEN SAND AND CALM WATERS
LENGTH: 600 m | WIDTH: 70 m
In the vicinity of the magical lighthouse of El Tostón, you will find another of the jewels of the Fuerteventura coast: Porbeagle Cove. The rock formations of volcanic lava divide the beach into several small coves, which at low tide turn into beautiful pools, natural lagoons with crystal-clear water.
Porbeagle Cove is situated about ten minutes drive north of El Cotillo in the north of Fuerteventura and is a completely natural dream beach. After you have parked your car on the road or in the small car park, you are only a few metres away from the beautiful bay.
By the way: "Marrajo" is called "Makohai", a genus of mackerel sharks, which, however, despite their name, do not sneak into Marrajo Cove, but belong very well to the fauna of the Canary Islands.
Here, the trade winds blow in an ideal way for kiteboarders and kiteboarding enthusiasts.
