We will start this local trail at the crossroads between Juan Peñate and de la Cruz streets. We will enter the village of Tiscamanita where we will see several examples of the island's traditional domestic architecture. After the last houses we will join a dirt track that will lead us to a rest area, a good place to enjoy the wonderful views of the village of Tiscamanita, as well as the gullies and mills that they house. We will ascend through Majada de la Mujer, where the numerous plantations of prickly pear cactus (Opuntia spp.) and pitas (Agave americana) around us. If we look closely on both sides of the road, we can see the "cuernua" (Caralluma burchardii), a small endemism of the eastern islands that is currently included in the catalogue of Threatened Species of the Canary Islands. In addition, during the ascent, we will be able to observe good examples of Majorero wild olive trees (Olea europaea ssp guanchica), tabaibas (Euphorbia spp.) and verodes (Kleinia nerilifolia) that will accompany us to Morro Tabaibe. From here we can see some mountains that break up the extensive plains characteristic of the central part of the island. We will continue on to Morro Jorjado which, as its name suggests, is home to populations of jorjado (Asteriscus sericeus) a Majorero endemism. We continue towards the Degollada de la Pechillera until we reach the Morro del Rincón del Atajo, where our path joins the local path from Agua de Bueyes (SL-FV28), and together they descend along the Cuesta del Ahorcado to Pedro Peña street, which leads to the Plaza de Nuestra Señora de la Peña, patron saint of the island of Fuerteventura.
