The PR-FV 9 starts from the village of Tindaya, specifically from the Church of Ntra. Señora de la Caridad, which we will leave to head east along the street of La Oliva. Continue along this road until you reach the junction with the local Fv-10 road, where our PR path enters a dirt track that continues parallel to the road until you reach a small tunnel that you have to go through. Once at this point our path ascends between Morro Tabaiba, to the north, and Montaña de Enmedio, to the south. It is here that we can appreciate the beauty of the Tindaya Mountain, which stands alone in the middle of a plain. We continue eastwards, descending through Valle Chico, where we can see different traditional forms of cultivation. In addition, on the slopes, there are some green, stunted bushes that stand out, corresponding to the wild sweet tabaibas (Euphorbia spp.). Continue along the dirt track until you reach an asphalt road that will take you to the Vallebrón cultural centre. Turn right onto Calle La Mareta, until you reach the junction with the local road FV-103, which you follow westwards into Gran Valle. Once here, take the fourth exit on the left and ascend, leaving behind the last houses of Vallebrón in the direction of Degollada de la Renegada, on the way to which you will see jorjados (Asteriscus sericeus), verodes (Kleinia neriifolia) v tabaibas (Euphorbia spp.). Once we reach the cut throat there is the possibility of climbing one of the highest mountains on the island, La Muda (689 m), along an adjacent track, but our route descends along La Ladera to the village of La Matilla, which we enter through its narrow streets. Cross the local FV-10 road and continue along a dirt track that was once the main road linking La Matilla with Tefía, where our PR ends. To reach our destination we border the Caldera Mountain and walk for one kilometre until we reach a crossroads where our PR joins stage 3 of the GR-131 and together they head north to the Ermita de San Agustín, where the PR-FV 9 ends.
