Pájara - La Pared

We will begin the stage at the church of Nuestra Señora de
Rule in Pájara to continue the route for about 400 metres through the town centre of Pájara, as indicated by the directional signs. Once past the tahona we continue our route along the Barranco de La Cañada ravine, leaving a group of gullies on our left, until we start a slight ascent and find a detour to the left and continue with a steeper ascent for a few kilometres until we reach the Filo de Tejeda. From this point the route passes through the different peaks and gorges until it reaches the Cuchillo de los Pasos. During this last stretch, it is a good idea to stop where you think it is best to enjoy the fabulous views. From this area we can see the east and west coast of the island, the beautiful hilly landscapes we have left behind, the valley and knife formations to the east (Cuchillos de Vigán Natural Monument), the Central Plain of Fuerteventura also to the east and the Melindraga Mountain to the southwest. From Cuchillo de los Pasos we start to descend along a fairly winding route, leaving the Barranco de Bácher ravine to our right, until we reach Morro del Moralito, where we will find a small rest area. From this last point we continue the route to descend to the Bácher ravine and continue to the village of Cardón. From the village, continue southwards until you reach a rest area next to a raspberry tree. Continue through the inland area of the Rincones de Tamaretilla on the slopes of Montaña Cardón, until you reach the Guerime cut-off, where you cross the FV-617 road. Once you have crossed the road, the path runs parallel to the road for about 2.5 km until you reach a large gate, to continue along a dirt track that passes through the village of Las Hermosas and ends the stage in the tourist centre of La Pared.
