A special island 

Hidden in the interior of the Canary archipelago, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, lies a magical paradise: The Gomera. With barely twenty thousand inhabitants, the island offers 370 square kilometres of charm, history and nature. The climate on the island is an absolute gift: warm and stable, under the influence of the trade winds that cool and soften the island's temperatures and thanks to which the perfect humidity is maintained for the thousand-year-old forests of the Garajonay National Park. The figure of Christopher Columbus is very prominent in the La Gomera and the island is key to the discovery of America.

The entire island has been a Biosphere Reserve since 2012, highlighting local efforts for sustainable development. A recognition of the balance between the development of the island and the conservation of the exuberant nature, achieving sustainable growth.
