There are many advantages to travel. Among others, it allows us to broaden our knowledge, grow as people and strengthen our confidence, as well as being one of the best ways to enjoy life.
However, it is complicated for people with disabilities, among other things because of the difficulty in getting information about disability-friendly structures and activities.
And this is precisely the purpose that the Municipality of La Oliva de Fuerteventura is pursuing by publishing this guide. On the one hand, to inform about the adapted activities that are currently offered in La Oliva and on the other hand, to encourage many professionals to join this initiative and to offer tourist experiences for people with disabilities.
It represents, in a way, an awareness, a confirmation that this island is a unique destination in the world for everyone, an accessible island with a tourist offer for everyone to enjoy. And all this, coinciding with the great investment that the municipality has recently made in the reduction of architectural barriers, the creation of new specific car parks and the widening of pavements, among others.
